Research Triangle is the area around Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill, North Carolina Del Norte.
Conducted in Durham, North Carolina. Because we arrived early, did some sightseeing. Chapel Hill, home of the Carolina University North is a short drive away. The guide said Moorehead Planetarium was a place to visit. The first astronauts trained there and some tools that astronauts use have been developed, such as accommodation guide mechanism. The museum does not meet our expectations. The University of North Carolina campus was beautiful, however. This made the trip worthwhile.
Returning, we stopped the Duke University in Durham. Originally known as Trinity College, it changed its name to Duke, and that staffing weighed by the Duke family, the founders of the American Tobacco Company. Between the capital and legislative buildings are two museums: the Natural History and Historical Society. The historical society has some interesting exhibits, especially on routes of health care use of the root of the Cherokee Indian doctor (popular herbalist), the modern medicine. Sports Hall of Fame, the Hall of Governors, and the workshop "Carbine" Williams, inventor of the rifle rifles. Natural History Museum is very wide, with reproductions of diverse ecosystems in North Carolina Coastal salt marshes, in Piedmont, in the Appalachian Mountains.
