what is the best ammo to load a 12ga pump action shotgun with for home defense?
I own a mossberg 500 with an 8 round magazine and 20 inch barrel with a pistol grip and ATI collapsible stock. but there is alot of debate over what to load it up with for things that go bump in the night. Slugs, buckshot,birdshot? just wanting to see what everyone thinks.
00 Buckshot….. Use 2 3/4 inch only…. 3 Inch cartridges have too much recoil which would make follow up shots slow…..
