When I was a teenager, and started out with my friends in malls, cinemas, etc, we realized what we all have to have some kind of weapon to protect ourselves.
At that point, I do not know about the pepper spray. I was very naive and sheltered by my parents. In the 70s there were PCs or the Internet, where you can browse and self defense products. I forget who was the genius who said the first or had a brainstorm, but somehow the idea has come for us to use a water pistol and fill it with ammonia! Well, it was the best thing I ever heard! What great idea!
I wasted no time, I went to a toy store and bought an orange water gun. My mother always had the ammonia to clean toilets, so I poured some into the water pistol. I made sure not to escape and save my favorite bag. I checked a couple of hours later to see if the bag smelled ammonia, and fortunately, did not at all.
Well, it was the beginning of my obsession with personal defense products! Come to think more seriously this great idea, is actually more dangerous than we thought. We had no idea the amount of damage that ammonia may actually because if you get into the eyes. Could cause permanent damage! I am glad that none of us had to use our weapons, ammonia or it could have been beaten with a big demand!
Later, as an adult to work, I had to use the subway to and from work. I felt the need to actually purchase a product that is reliable and safe. At that time there was an Internet and bought my first Taser on the Internet. Immediately I felt safe, especially in the winter months around 6 am when I got off the train and had to walk my car, parked in the ample parking around the station. I lived in the suburbs, so caused by car from the station to my house and walk to my car was terrible night. My stun gun was going nowhere and I was particularly appreciated the fact that I could walk my dog through the trails in a nearby park and not worry about an attack.
Last year, I found out I was still a better product on the market and has been designed with women in mind. I can shock an attacker up to 15 feet! The Taser is small, has an LED light to see in black and a laser, so do not miss a shot. The beauty of this is also the C2 Taser is not lethal and does not cause permanent damage, unlike my first gun, ammonia gun!
