A post-mortem examination has confirmed initial Australian ecologist, who owns the zoo, and television personality Steve Irwin, the "Crocodile Hunter" killed when a poisonous Stingray Barb through the heart after 11 hours of the morning of 4 September 2006. Police are investigating the incident in a busy press conference that her death was the result of an unusual accident. "We're not in the details, but there is certainly no surprise," said a police spokesman. "Everyone knows how he died."
Phenomenon accident
The circumstances of the disappearance of Irwin are extremely rare. Experts say his death is only the third time caused by a line in Australian waters. Normally placid skates. However, the beard of the tail of a line is like a serrated knife, and could easily pass for one person, Mark Meek, a researcher at the Australian Institute of Marine Science, told reporters. "The People usually only get the sting rays, when animals are defending themselves, "Meek said." The ray turns tail and try to connect everything forward. They are very fast, and most people do not see the stingray attack.
Beards make some toxins, but Meek said, a person who is bitten is more likely to suffer perforation of the arteries or blood vessels. The doctor who treated Irwin described his death as "highly unusual". Ed O'Loughlin was aboard the helicopter for emergency management in Queensland who came to the scene of the attack. "It was very clear when he was not fatally wounded. He had a puncture wound on the left side of his chest. He had lost his pulse and breathing. "
Caught on film
The judge was to begin a review the next day and study images of the attack, which happened as Irwin swam at Batt Reef, near the state Australian Queensland, Irwin's friend, director and producer, John Stainton, who was on Irwin's boat Croc One when the attack occurred, told the conference that is too early to press the sequence of the fatal encounter with his friend to the public. Yesterday evening, live on CNN's Larry King talk, he went further. "I want say, it is destroyed, "Stainton told King said." When he is finally released from police custody, it will never see the light of day. Never. Never. I seen in reality, but I do not see him again.
Stingray The attack was captured on film during the production of a new television special Irwin with his daughter eight years, Bindi Sue. The documentary was to have been controlled in the U.S. next year.
The footage shows Irwin pulling the Stingray barb to his chest before losing consciousness, Stainton said. "This is very difficult to see because we really witness someone die … and it's terrible," Stainton said he told the conference.
"It shows that Steve came over the ray and the tail came up and shot in the chest and pulled him out. And the next minute he's gone. That was it. The cameraman had to close. "
Tributes, Tirades
News quickly spread of Irwin's death, the development of hundreds of mourners at Irwin's Australia Zoo, which he directed together with his wife and partner of the camera, Terri, in the far North Queensland. Politicians, businessmen and artists have paid tribute.
Australian Prime Minister John Howard said: "It was one of the great faces for excellence in Australia for people everywhere recognized. Era Larrikin blatant a rebel, yes. But it was a really nice guy too, and was passionate about Australia and cared passionately about the environment of Australia. "A university is remarkable and Australia dissident writer Germaine Greer, who on Thursday criticized Irwin "intimidate the animals shot in danger, and their confinement to the zoo.
"The animal world has finally taken its revenge on Irwin, but probably not before a whole generation of kids in shorts seven sizes too small has learned to shout in the ears of the hearing animals ten times more acute than theirs, determined to become millionaire animal owners Zoo love in turn. "The Irwin family rejected the offer of state funeral today. Earlier in the day Irwin's father Bob Irwin, told reporters: "It's just a regular guy, and wants to be remembered as a normal guy." Discovery Communications, a media company in the U.S. owner Animal Planet channel, which broadcasts programs of Irwin. The company says it will create the Steve Irwin Crocodile Hunter Fund, to be called "The Global Hell," after the signature exclamation Irwin. Discovery Networks President Billy Campbell said the fund "to honor Steve's passion and exuberance for conservation" helping to Australia Zoo. Also contribute to an education fund for Bindi Sue Irwin and three year old son, Bob

Rock & Roll Animal $4.67 Recorded live in 1973, Rock N Roll Animal is Reed’s glam-rock sneer back at his Velvet Underground legacy. Four tracks are VU classics (two about the redemptive power of rock, two about the transformative power of dope) dressed up into slick, flashy twin-guitar noodle-fests, with big riffs and showboating solos and Reed practically phoning in his vocals. It was something of a hit at the time, and … |
