What type of scope, red dot or reg rifle scope should be used for a ruger 10/22?
Im getting a ruger 10/22 rifle with a tapco 6 stock. The gun will be used for plinking and small game hunting. Ive never used a red dot scope and I think that I would look good with this rifle. However, are red dot scopes good for hunting small game? Are they accurate at shooting at further distances? I have reg adjustable scopes for my other rifles but just would like some feedback. Thanks!
Red dot’s offer no magnification and are intended for fast target aquisition at close range, as opposed to precision shooting like hunting.
