Why concentrate so much on deer when small game is more fun?
I just don’t get it. Deer meat does not taste that good to me. Killing a deer is so easy it is just not fun. If you can hit a 12″ circle at 100 yards you can kill a deer. Small game tastes so good and you have to be a crack shot. You get a lot of action.
I know it seems like trolling so to make it a question what is your favorite small game forum?
i started off as a youngster small game hunting with my father,for years that is all the hunting i did. then, i began hunting deer. at first i was lucky to see a deer not along shooting one . after a few years of experience of not bagging one ,i finally shot my first buck, an eight pointer. i’ve shot 100′s of birds,rabbits squirrels,etc. but, never had a feeling like that in my life. since then i’ve been hooked on deer hunting, alot more than small game.i raised my family on venison for 26 years and if you know how to prepare it , it is the best tasting and better for you piece of meat than you ever had . most of the time it only takes you one shot to produce 60-80 lbs of meat.if you want a challenge, try getting a deer within 25 to 30 yards and hitting a 12″ circle with a arrow . {takes alot of practice } good luck
